14 Oct 2008: My very last bit of energy has been drained. I've been whining about it so much so that I don't feel like whining about it 'cos it's the same thing over & over again. Poor clone, he's always at the end of these 'cos whenever I feel whiney, I'll call him & start to whine & bitch. Yes, no one can take my extremes except him. Likewise, I'm at the end of all his shit too. Fair & square. Haha..

Anyway... It's already very taxing to work & study at the same time. Plus all the crap I get at work, I feel very very very tired. I know I know, others get crap at work too. They might be getting more crap than I am receiving, but I'm still really sick of the way things work in office:

1) There are only 2 Bloomberg terminals on the entire floor. Now that a couple of investment group (IG) clusters have moved to the same tower & floor, more people are "snatching" for the Bloomberg machines. Each time I NEED the Bloomberg, I have to wait & wait & wait. I can't get my things done efficiently due to all the waiting.

After lunch one day, I noticed one of the Bloomberg terminals was unoccupied. Despite needing the washroom urgently, I sat down & started working on my stuff, in case someone else hogs it while I was in the washroom!! Ended up holding my bladder for 1 hour or so, & I do this pretty often. Bad for my health!!

2) Another thing is Datastream. In the whole organisation (overseas office inclusive), only ONE Datastream account is subscribed to. Which means that only ONE person can use it at any ONE time. The rest would have to QUEUE to use it. Time is wasted again. What crap!!


See, I'm 5th in the queue!!

3) Newcomers (me as well) in my team feel like archaeologists. Whatever was done in the past, no evidence & references were recorded. & when we are told to do this this this or that, have to really DIG everything out simply because nothing was left behind for us to refer.

4) It's hard to get things going here. It's got a high power distance here & we always have to wait for instructions from the top. & everything you say will blend into the air.......

Job hop? Given the market situation now, I should feel lucky to have a job. My future looks bleak...

05 Apr 2008: Finally, the tormenting CCM paper is over. 4 little excited girls (Lindy, Qi, Ping & I) & one of the little girl's bf (Lindy's bf, Edward) went for supper straight after the paper. Little couple went off after the feast & the other 3 little girls walked to The Cathay for Ben & Jerry's.

After which, these 3 little girls loitered around the vicinity & decided to park themselves at the benches of SMU.

And chatted till dawn.....

02 Apr 2008: I've never felt such intense outrage in a coon's age!

Lindy, Ping & I are infuriated by Marcus. Have met my fair share of free riders in project groups, but I never ever expected my long time friend to be like that. Neither did I anticipate this coming from a supposedly mature adult.

We had to hand in our CCM (cross cultural management) main assignment on 31 Mar. It was a group project, so we splitted all the work & Ping would do the compilation & editing. So, deadline for submission (to Ping) to our group email, ZQB, was 28 Mar. We arranged for a meeting on 29 Mar, a Sat afternoon, to further discuss what can be done as our parts could not really integrate well into a whole report.

So, Ping mass smsed everyone on the meeting details. NO reply from him. FINE, that wasn't the first time anyway. We weren't sure if he would turn up coz there wasn't any confirmation from him. He's working 5 1/2 days, so we fixed it in the afternoon. Partly because we wanted to zzz lah. Haha..

On the day itself, we were speculating if he would turn up as no one heard from him. He did not reply a single sms. So I decided to call him. No answer. Ng Qi called. No answer too. I decided to be a nuisance & called once again. He finally answered & told me he was on his way from office. Our discussion was held at OCBC Centre's Burger King at Raffles Place. His office was at Dhoby Ghaut. He should reach in a jiffy right?

Hell no. He took hours to reach. Ng Qi even said sarcastically, "I wonder if his office is located in Malaysia. Even if it is, he would have reached." LOL!!

He finally strolled in & wasn't apologetic at all. Well, not like it bothered me. In the midst of our discussion, guess what, he was busying copying Lindy's lecture notes! Why? Because he was away on ICT & missed the lectures.

He wasn't participative in the discussions, & when we arrowed questions at him, he'd go, "Huh?" His reaction seemed to say, "Well, whatever you say. Don't ask me."

Ping looked through his part, & found no citations to his tables, so yeah, he was asked to cite the source of his tables. In addition, he was asked to do the abstract & conclusion for our report. Well in my opinion, he seemed a little reluctant with a reply, "Huh, you girls trust my English?"

Precisely. That's why the abstract & conclusion, so it wouldn't affect our content much.

We decided we should all send Ping our edited parts by Sun night, 30 Mar, 10pm. Nothing from him. After numerous houndings from Qi, he finally sent in his BIBLIOGRAPHY. What do we need the biblio for? We needed his table citations, abstract & conclusion!!

It wasn't until 10+am on 31 Mar that he FINALLY sent his abstract & conclusion to ZQB. To our horror, both his abstract & conclusion were a total crap!! They were DIRECTLY copied & pasted from different parts of the report. Nevermind if he did that, but the sentences made no logical sense at all!! We could not fathom what he was trying to say. Blood was boiling...

10+am on a Monday morning. Office hours. Lindy had to edit his conclusion & I did the abstract coz if we got him to redo, god knows when he would get them done. In the midst of editing, we realised it was much easier to completely overhaul them.

We spent almost ALL of our time clearing his mess in the office. Work was neglected because of that. Luckily my boss wasn't around, else I wouldn't be able to have the "luxury" of doing my school work the whole day. Poor Ping, she had lots of work to do, yet she had to do all these shit.

After we managed to get EVERYTHING done at about 9pm, she had to stay in office just to complete her work.

Ping was so pissed that she sent this email to ZQB, as well as an exact same sms to Marcus:

"Dear Marcus,

Lindy and Jaye and me had to pia this out during work. Plz bear in mind that other pple also have jobs. Having to completely over haul your work is not our job.

And YES we are pissed at you."

I salute you, Ping! Lol...

If you thought our group was the worst, allow me to show you what that childish, high-pitched & squeaky-voiced 19-year-old guy from my class wrote for his part:

"People live on this planet and they travel to work from planet to planet. The managers whose organisations with overseas subsidiaries are very stressed."

PLANET TO PLANET?! Wahahaha... I almost fell off the chair upon reading it. When I showed Lindy & Ping this, they almost died laughing!!

How did I know what he wrote? Ronald was ranting to me & he was frustrated by that crap too.

04 Nov 2007: Happy Belated Birthday To Me!!!

Met the girls for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe (HRC). Don't ask me why I went there all of a sudden, but I just thought I haven't been there for ages.

in plaids. But I thought I looked more youthful. =(

Reached there, and was told by the staff that there were some problems with Visa & Mastercard network, so we could only make payments using Amex cards or cash. Which means I couldn't utilise the HSBC discount!!

So the grumpy me was making lots of noise to the staff coz with the HSBC discount, we could save quite an amount on our total bill. They promised to talk to their manager & get back to me, but they never did so.

From my past experience at HRC, the serving size was so huge that 2 people could share a portion. We ordered 1 starter & 2 mains for the 5 of us and guess what, we were so full!! Here's what we ordered:

Main: Fish & chips

Lots of variety for Jumbo Combo. Spring rolls, drumlets, potato, onion rings, breaded prawns & salad. Chicken chop + macaroni cheese was nice. But it was quite cheeesy so one could easily get sick of it. As for the fish & chips, I wouldn't say it was good. There was a strong fishy taste. Eeeewwwww..

When it was time for bill, the Visa network was up. Lucky them, else I would start making noise again. Haha..

27 Oct 2007: Was tricked tricked tricked!! =P

We organised this Halloween get-together on the 27th as Halloween falls on the 31st. Little did I know that it turned out to be my birthday celebration as well. It involved a big group so we had a hard time organising. Some wanted to join for dinner, while some wanted only to chill out, and some joined for both.

Katrina & I were doing lots of sourcing & discussions for dinner & chill out places. Yanny suggested Oosh initially, but it's located at Dempsey & the others were reluctant to travel there. So well, we got some places in town.

Finally, we decided on Pasta De Waraku (cheap & good food) for dinner, then chill-out at The Loof.

So mean of them!! They refused to let me go home until I get horribly drunk. We opened a bottle of Vodka with lime juice & orange juice as mixers. Our lovely Jiawen made me a Screwdriver (Vodka + orange juice) concoction specially for me. A high concentration of Vodka with little orange juice.

The rest plotted a Flaming Waterfall, Flaming Lamborghini & something else (can't remember what was it as they listed out many options) for me. First was Flaming Waterfall.

I pleaded with them, asking them not to be so cruel to me. Haha!! So Kat & Bably helped me with the Flaming Waterfall...

When we've had enough of Powerhouse, we hopped to another club which I couldn't remember what the name was. The loud music made my head spin & I couldn't take it anymore. I told Kah Hin I wanted to go home. (Yanny went off first, so she didn't send me home. Kah Hin lives really near me, so naturally, we would share a cab.)

Keng Soon sent Kah Hin & I home. On the way to Keng Soon's car, I was walking unsteadily & the 2 hunks had to ensure I wouldn't fall. I volunteered to take the back seat & once I was in the car, I slept all the way home....

23 Oct 2007: Was supposed to go Far East Square for lunch at Pizza Hut with the ERG ladies. When it was time for lunch, all of them (Ling jie, Winnie, Meilian) disappeared. I thought they were busy or in the washroom, so I waited at my desk.

Suddenly, Ling jie called my ext from the lobby, "Yin mei, this Avinash hor, brought a management here for meeting. I can't find Meilian so I received them on her behalf. But now, I'm really urgent & wanna visit the toilet. Can you help me to make a cup of coffee? They are at Metal Room. Thanks thanks."

I went to the pantry, made a cup of coffee naively & cursed Avinash for bringing management here at lunch time. By the way, Avinash is the broker from Morgan Stanley who's absolutely pesky & I really dislike him.

20 Oct 2007: Xiao Pang Zhu is a year older now. =P Coincidentally, his birthday falls on the same day as my dad's.

Celebrated a day earlier coz his birthday falls on a Sunday. Peiwen & Dan joined us after dinner as Dan's dad was hospitalised.

So... Met that zhu for dinner at Central Mall. Wanted to go Pasta De Waraku, which I heard is good. But the queue was super long. 11 people before us. Goodness. Ended up in this Japanese restaurant which has got no queue. Usually no queue = not nice, but heck lah, we were too hungry to even wait. Furthermore, there was 20% discount for UOB cardholders. Haha..

Peiwen & Dan met us at Central & we proceeded to Clarke Quay to chill out. Our first choice was The Clinic coz of the theme. Hospital theme. But it was full when we reached, so we went to Mama's Caribbean Bar.

Wen jie & I gave the excuse of going to the washroom, & we went out searching for a cake. The nightlife of Clarke Quay was so beautiful that we were quite reluctant to go back. =P

Went to Haagen Dazs to look for a small ice cream cake. They did not have the size we wanted, but the guy was really friendly & helpful. He told us where we could get other cakes & the directions of the shops. The plus point was, he had small eyes, tall, & a warm smile. LOL!!

Hopped to The Clinic when they finally had seats available. Very expensive drinks, though there wasn't any cover charge. We paid for the concept & the fun rather than the drinks quality. Doubt I'll ever go back again due to the pricing. Hmmm..

We had so much fun on the wheelchairs. Haha!! Every patrons at every table were wheeling up & down in the wheelchairs.

Guess what. A group of Caucasians were seated next to our table. Of course, they were enjoying the wheelchairs as well. One of the guys stood up suddenly & exclaimed, "It's a miracle!! I am walking, I'm walking!!"

So -__________- right.

We suspected he was a gay. When that "miracle" wheeled past Xiao Pang, he told him he was hot. OMG...

A drama took place near us when we were about to leave. That was like 1.45am? 2 male Caucasians (yes, ang mohs again) were walking down the lanes when they suddenly pushed each other onto the ground. One of them was on top of the other, & they shouted incoherent sentences. The one on top slapped the guy below him & they continued shouting.

Nobody dared to interfere coz they seemed drunk. It was after a short while when a Caucasian couple approached them & tried to break them away.

They did not budge. The lady talked to them in a seemingly nice manner. Just before they broke away, the guy on top grabbed the other guy's crotch!! Eeeewwwwww. After which, both of them stood up & had their arms around each other's shoulders (like best buddies).

What a scene.

12 Oct 2007: I thought I would enjoy clubbing now that smoking is banned. Boy, I was wrong. I ended up in the police station instead.

The first reaction everyone (including my mum) had was, "You got into a fight?" Didn't know I look like an ah lian. Haha.. Nope, I wasn't involved in a fight. I was molested.

Went clubbing with Peiwen, her bf Daniel & his colleagues. The initial plan was St James, but they changed to Dbl O instead. I'm not into clubbing but I enjoyed myself. At about 2.30am, we were tired & decided to leave. On our way out, Dan was first, followed by Peiwen, then me. Peiwen was holding my hand as we walked out.

As we passed this table, some creep touched Peiwen's hand. After which, this same person touched my ******* ****. I thought it was accidental so I ignored it & moved away at the same time. Little did I know that he had the audacity to slide his hand to my butt & tried to grab/squeeze them. Then I realised it wasn't so innocent. I flung his arm/hand away, & glared at him.

Overwhelmed by shock, I continued making my way out. When I regained my composure, I turned to Peiwen.

Me: Wen jie, a guy touched me when we walked past him.
PW: Where did he touch you?
Me (pointing at he areas he touched): Here & here.
PW: WHAT?!
Me (nodded): Yes.
PW: He tried to touch me just now but only managed to touch my hand, so I just brushed it off. I didn't know he molested you!!
PW (grabbed my wrist & made a u-turn): Let's go & confront him!

Reached the table & Peiwen asked me who molested me. I pointed to the guy (the same guy who touched her hand). She was very angry & started shouting at that guy.

PW: How dare you molest my friend!
Guy: What? I didn't do anything!
PW: Still trying to deny it?
Guy (had a guilty look & tried to move away from us): What? I was drinking here all along. What did I do to your friend?
Me: Why are you walking away? Guilty? You dared to molest yet you dare not admit what you did. You call yourself a man?

Anyway I don't think he's even a man. He looked like he's younger than me!!

His friends came over, & asked what happened. We told them their friend molested me yet did not admit it. Of course, they tried to defend him, saying he was drunk & blah blah blah. Drunk, my foot!! He was obviously sober & didn't show any hint of getting drunk.

We wanted him to admit it, apologise to me & we would let the matter rest. But he refused to. We created such a commotion that we attracted lots of curious stares. Eventually, the bouncers came over & we were told to settle the matter outside Dbl O.

Fine. We stormed out angrily with him & his friends, plus Dan & some of his colleagues. We shouted at him again, like 2 ah lians trying to start a fight. Haha..

Anyway, he still refused to admit it. Heated words were exchanged among the guys. They almost broke into a fight when Peiwen & I stood between the 2 groups & tried to push them off. Just then, the police came. I wasn't sure if they were on patrol or the bouncers called for them.

Police: What's happening over here? Can you settle it among yourselves?
PW: Yes sir, give us 5 minutes.
Police: Ok.

PW & I: Now will you admit it?
Guy: Admit what? I didn't do anything!
PW & I: Admit, apologise, & we promise not to blow up the matter. We'll let it rest.
Guy: No.

We gave him chance & he didn't want it. So we reported it to the police & let them settle it.

While waiting, 3 other girls went to the police & 2 of them said they were being molested. By the same guy. Now he's doomed. I have 2 more girls to back me up now.

Peiwen hugged me & cried suddenly. She kept apologising & said it was her fault that I got molested. I didn't blame her at all & it wasn't her fault. But she said that if she didn't insist I go clubbing with her, such a thing wouldn't happen.

It really, really wasn't her fault.

After all the troublesome procedures, we were told to go down to Tanglin Police Div HQ, on our own. Located at Kampong Java, but it seems like Jalan Ulu to me. Nothing but trees all around.

LIFE SUCKS.

Paid the second instalment of my degree programme last Friday. S$4,400. Feel so broke. My bank account is bleeding now.

Financial woes aside. They're just peanuts as compared to my working life. I am really really becoming an unmotivated employee. I no longer have the mood to work. I drag myself to office everyday. So depressed that I can cry uncontrollably anytime.

I'm not someone who only whines & does nothing about my current situation. I asked a colleague for more RA related work. I was told that there's nothing I can help out with coz they can cope. Either that or they don't have the time to teach me. What can I say? I sent out countless resumes from time to time. I glued myself in front of my PC for one whole day just to search for jobs. But I don't get a single response.

So in my opinion, there must be something to do with my resume. Well-meaning friends sent me their copies of resumes for reference. I spent time improving my resume. After which, I searched for jobs again with a glimmer of hope. But they proved futile & my hopes were dashed once again.

The cycle goes. I am very SICK. Very tired of everything. Plus, the secretary will be going on maternity leave pretty soon. 56 days to be precise. I have to cover her. For the 3 months, not only I have to continue submitting claims & doing all the usual shit, I have to juggle with her excessive workload as well. I have a hunch they'll drive me up the wall.

I'm not afraid of the workload. I'll take it as it comes. My only worry is school. My timetable is here, & during certain terms, I have classes from Monday to Friday which will commence at 6.30pm sharp. Those dates happen to coincide with her maternity leave. If I cannot finish my work before 6pm, how am I supposed to attend classes?

You might say I worry too much. But I know the situation best as I'd been through it. I have a strong urge to tender my resignation without having found a new job. But that'll be really stupid. I have to finance my studies thus I need the income.

The more I stay here, the more depressed I am. As my agony grows, I project a happier front. Why? Because I want to forget my misery temporarily. I live in self-delusion. I convince myself that I'm very satisfied with my life but I know it's untrue. Only close friends know what lies deep within me.

To add to my despondency, I had my heart broken recently. It was shattered into a million pieces. I knew this day would come, but what really hurts me was, "I do have feelings for you, but I don't like you enough." These words drove me to my grave. It felt as if a dagger had thrust deep into me & I fell to the ground. Still conscious but I was left bleeding alone. I just wouldn't die. I stayed alive enduring the torment.

The assailant fled & here I am, still waiting for someone to dial 995...

The whole event wasn't bad. Quite entertaining, but the food was below my expectations. It was quite late even before the dessert was served. I left some space in my stomach just for dessert coz it was my favourite - yam paste with gingko nuts. It ended up as a disappointment. The yam paste was clumpy, wasn't mixed well with the coconut milk & the worst part was, it was WAY too sweet.

Went home feeling dissatisfied with the dessert. =(

16 Sep 2007: Watched "Secret" with Katrina, Kat's younger sis, Jaimie, Sheryce, Cleave & Zhicheng. Been wanting to watch it very much. So excited!!

(OKAY, I get excited easily over the slightest things.)

People said I was dumb, coz the VCD/DVDs have already released yet I still went to the theatre. Whatever...

The show was NICE. Directed by Jay Chou, starring Jay Chou & Kwai Lun-Mei. His acting skills are still bad, but the story & plot are fantastic. It's not the kind of movie that I usually watch, coz I "hate" touching shows. I will start sobbing in the cinema & this time round, I cried too. Yeah, which is why I love action packed movies.

& the movie OST (yes, by Jay Chou again), 不能说的秘密, keeps playing in my head. Here's the music video if you don't know how it sounds like. Enjoy..

22 Aug 2007: Happy Birthday, Mummy!!


I always look gigantic next to Mum. =(

Happily went to Goodwood Park Hotel after work to buy durian desserts/pastries for my mum. She loves durians & Goodwood Park makes fantastic durian desserts. But when I got there, they stopped their durian stuff for the time being. Coz they are concentrating on mooncakes now. =(

Well, no choice. Had to look at other cakes instead. I don't like to buy the whole cake. I'll feel sick eating the same thing over & over again. So I bought slices of cakes. Different flavours, different types. More variety & I get to try everything. =P

Crap. I requested for a BIG candle instead of a small one. I bought an additional cupcake just for the candle. Wahahaha..

14 Aug 2007: Can't believe how lucky I was. On this day when I was, well, feeling sad over something that happened the night before, Keng Soon asked if I wanna go to Gwen Stefani's concert.

My eyes lit. GWEN STEFANI?! I'd love to!! & the best part was, I could go for FREE!! Reason being, Sherryn's husband had tickets & they did not want to go. So she offered the tickets to KS & I 捡到便宜.

Ecstatic!! I could go to the concert & unwind, & put my mind off the crap I was experiencing for the past 6 months. Good deal eh?

We had the S$90 tickets. Yeah it's $90 each. So expensive. & guess where we sat. At the terrace!! Goodness. Just imagine how much the "premium" tickets cost.

Couldn't see that clearly, but I enjoyed the whole show. She's a really great performer. & I mean GREAT. She knows how to wow the crowd. When she was singing Cool, she actually went down the stage & into the audience!! Needless to say, everyone went really HIGH. More screams could be heard.

The concert cheered me up quite a bit. Now I'm COOL about it & I don't wake up at 4 IN THE MORNING, staring at the ceiling & thinking about nothing. What a SWEET ESCAPE from my emotional burdens all these while.

When everything ended..... KS & I were thinking how to go out. He did not drive that day, & there weren't any cabs in sight. When we were trying our luck calling for cabs, a car approached us & the couple asked if we wanted a lift out.

I was dead tired so we accepted the offer. While chatting with them, we found out that they were in this situation before & a really nice taxi driver drove them out without charging them. So now, they always return the favour to those who are stranded.

Singaporeans aren't cold & heartless. There are still nice ones out there. Not like they'll read my blog, but still, I'm really grateful!! Thanks!! =)

03 Aug 2007: Happy 25th Birthday, Boss!!

(In case you are confused, Cleave = Boss = 太子爷)

A belated birthday celebration for Cleave, the 太子爷. His birthday falls on 31 Jul & we only celebrated for him on 3 Aug. Haha.. Plus it's a farewell dinner for Clare (who wants to be known as Jiaqi from now). And maybe a gathering among colleagues as well?

He was the *ahem* "star" that night. Even if he wasn't, he will think he is. Which reminds me of what Lindy said before, "Cleave isn't bad looking. Slightly above average. But he always thinks that all girls in the world are mesmerised by him."

Oh crap, I always have this tendency to side track. Sorry readers!!

Where was I? Ok, he was the "star". Despite being the birthday boy, he gave us a treat during dinner. We had dinner at Black Angus, One Fullerton. Nice place. Nice ambience. Breezy. (Of course it is, Jieyin. What are you crapping?)

Before the dinner........ As 太子爷's PA (yes, it's Personal Assistant), I ordered the cake from Awfully Chocolate (yes it's awfully delicious & awfully sinful!!). Went down to Republic Plaza to collect the cake first when the rest were still in office. To surprise my Boss of course.

Met Joey at lift lobby. When she knew where I wanted to go (ie RP), she offered to give me a lift in her hubby's car. How nice of them. =)

My scandal, Mr Kwan Kah Hin joined me shortly after as he had to attend to a user. So, we waited for the rest at Black Angus. Of course, we asked the staff there to keep the cake for us, & instructed them to serve it only after dinner. (Else how are we gonna surprise 太子爷?)

In case you might ask... Wouldn't my Boss ask for my whereabouts when they left office? He certainly did. Katrina gave the excuse that I went off first to collect Clare's farewell present. Seems like the excuse worked!!

After dinner, we were happily chatting away. One of the waiters came over & asked Cleave, "Do you want the cake to be served now?" Damn, out of 8 people at the table, why did he have to ask Cleave? Well of course, Boss wasn't surprised anymore. -_-"

I'm side tracking again. Halfway through dinner, I received a sms from Brokeback Chua, "Hi Jaye, do you have Kah Hin's hp number? Thanks, Wee Thia." Guess what, Kat & I had a great time making fun of Wee Thia. He was blur coz at one moment, I was talking to him. Another moment, Hurricane (a pet name given by Wee Thia) was talking to him. Then Kah Hin. Wahahahaha..

Clare joined us after her exams. And yes, she passed!! Congrats my girl!! We proceeded to Party World (Shenton Way branch) for K. Great!! I had been itching to sing!! Sing with my screeching voice. =P

21 - 24 Jul 2007: Bangkok Krabi, Krabi Bangkok. Here we come!! Yeah I really need a rest, go overseas & relax. A well-deserved break in the midst of my boring working life.

Day 1: Had to catch the flight at 3.55pm. Oh did I mention this is the FIRST time Ping's taking a plane? *winkz* Ping & Lindy had lunch at T1's Popeye's. I wanted to join the girls so much, but haiz, some idiot just didn't want to have lunch at a fast food outlet. =( But well, I had a sinful plate of nasi lemak at Changi Village. =P

On my way to Popeye's to meet the girls, there was this uncle waiting for the lift with me. To cut the long story short, he thought I was from China!! Bloody hell. The greatest insult I've ever had in my life. Not that I despise the Chinese, but there's this negative stereotype about Chinese women. I DON'T WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM!! Yucks..

Flew on Jetstar. Went to check-in etc. To our surprise, budget airlines are really on a budget. The boarding pass is a budgeted one. It's just a piece of flimsy paper as compared to the normal ones. Yes, it's of the NTUC receipt material. We were flabbergasted. Jetstar is good. The leg room is the same as normal Economy class. The pilot was good in his landing as I didn't experience much pressure in my ears.

Reached Bangkok finally. Took a cab to Centrepoint Petchburi. When we reached there, we were told that the hotel was under renovation & most rooms were not available. So they transferred us to Centrepoint Wireless, which was apparently more upmarket than Petchburi. Ping wanted to go to IT City (looks exactly like Singapore's Sim Lim Sq) which was located just opposite Centrepoint Petchburi. With the renovation crap, her dreams were dashed. No more IT City for her.

When we got our room at Centrepoint Wireless, we realised it was a normal room. But we booked a suite with kitchen, living room, bedroom & a balcony. So Lindy's fabulous bf Edward went to the receptions & argued with them. Spent the next 1+ hr trying to get both parties to compromise, & we were so hungry that our patience wore out. We decided to go down, tell Ed to forget it & we pay for the difference. In the end, we got a suite with very mininal top-up. Hurray!!

Hungry hungry hungry. Went Siam Square for dinner. How ironic. Had Jap food instead of Thai in Bangkok. After dinner, Ed bought us ice-cream. When I took my first bite, the taste was familiar. The taste that I love. My favourite HAAGEN DAZS!! *slurp*

Day 2: Had to rush to 3 places within the morning. Chatuchak, Pratunam Wholesale Market & MBK. Terrible. Ping & I bought clothes at Chatuchak. Saw a pair of shades which I really love, but it was too loose & non-adjustable. Left the stall feeling disappointed. Lindy & bf bought lots of stuff for their doggies.

Took a cab to Pratunam. The cabs there are really cheap. Each trip is cheaper than a MRT ride in Singapore. We took cab everywhere we went coz it's just so cheap!! We were tired. No mood to really shop at Pratunam. When we went in, we were stuck at this section selling untrendy clothes. Clothes meant for the older generation. Outfits not meant for us.

Found our way out finally, thanks to yours truly who still remembered the way. Hehe.. Bought a top of the same design, at the same shop the previous time I went there. Just that it was of a different colour. It was really cheap. Costed about 4 SGD only. I saw the exact same design & material selling for 24 SGD at Far East Plaza!!

Rushed to MBK for lingerie shopping. Yeah, I received lingerie orders & had to fulfil them. Plus stock up for myself too. Had a list of what I wanted so I thought it would be easy. The lingerie dept was relatively big, & I had some difficulty searching for them. The presence of the sales assistants weren't helpful as they couldn't converse well in English. It was like duck-and-chicken & I gave up trying to express myself.

Queued at the counter to make payment. Was in a hurry to catch a flight, yet the cashier was taking her own sweet time. She was slow. VERY SLOW. I lost my patience & wanted to make noise, but I stopped myself coz I wasn't in my home country. If it were in Singapore, she would have gotten LOTS of complaints.

Went to another counter to process our VAT refund. Again, the girl was taking her own sweet time. I'm known to write really slowly, but she was slower than me!! Couldn't stand it. We still had a flight to catch to Krabi. We were in a hurry. Yet she wasn't helpful. FRUSTRATED!!

Rushed back to the hotel to collect our luggage. We dumped the purchases into our luggages at the lobby. Due to time constraints, we didn't care if we looked unglam. Got a cab to the airport. The cabby did not know how much to charge us for the trip to airport, so he asked us how much we paid for the trip from airport. It was 400 THB & Ed lied about paying 250 THB. The cabby wanted 300 THB so we compromised. Deal. We girls were gloating at the back. =P

Flew on AirAsia to Krabi. The pilot was horrible. & I mean HORRIBLE. Piercing pain in my ears. They felt like they were going to explode anytime. I'd never felt such a sharp pain before. I was close to tears & then I saw a distressed Ping. She covered her right eye & said her eye was very painful. It turned out that her contact lens broke!! So thankful that her eye was ok. Bad experience onboard AirAsia. =( CONDEMNED.

We arranged for airport transfer to Buri Tara Hotel. Sotong Ping gave the wrong arrival time to the agency & we found ourselves stranded at the airport. Just then, we met this helpful guy. He lent us his hp & we made a call. After all the talk by Ping, we decided it wasn't practical for us to wait for them, so we took a mini van to the hotel.

Finally reached!! Ordered room service as it was raining, late & we were tired. The food looked good. Looks are deceiving. They tasted weird. With some weird taste that we think belong to some spices which are put in the fridge, & contaminated other food. Haiz...

Went snorkelling after Maya Beach. It was our first snorkelling experience, & it was definitely memorable. YES, with me around that made it really eventful. I have water phobia. After gearing up & leaving the speedboat, fear got to me. I hugged the ladder & refused to let go, even though I was wearing a life jacket & knew I wouldn't sink. How amusing.

Lindy & Ping happily swam away, forgetting I have water phobia. I was still clinging on to the ladder. When Edward came down, I grabbed him & yeah, I refused to let go. I held him so tightly that he was screaming for help. It hurts. (Sorry Lindy, I didn't mean to cause distress to your bf.. =p)

Seeing/hearing that, Ping & Lindy went over to rescue me, as well as to get Ed out of my evil clutches. Wahahaha... Ping was really nice & patient to me. Surprising coz she usually portrays herself as someone who's easily irritated & will get bitchy once it gets to her nerves. *Oops*

You know I'm kidding. Hahaha..

Anyway, Ping guided me patiently & calmed me down. Eventually, I relaxed & enjoyed the beauty of sea creatures. We snorkelled 3 times, & with her skilful guidance, I graduated!! Yay!! I could be left on my own by the 3rd one.

Day 4: Last day of our trip. The day to go home. Woke up really late coz we didn't have enough sleep for the past few days. *Yawnz*

Packed our luggage & checked out. Left our stuff with the hotel before proceeding to Krabi Town for shopping & massage. Had lunch at The Pizza Company, which is quite similar to Pizza Hut. The pizza is nice. Really nice. We ordered lots of food again.

So we explored Krabi Town after lunch. Nothing much to shop, & we couldn't find any massage parlours. Ed asked one of the shop owners, & he said, "The massage parlours are all the sleazy ones & the masseurs are all aunties."

Now I bet most of you will go, "What the hell?" Haha..

The weather was hot & the sun was scorching. Felt restless & went back to the shopping mall (the place where we had pizza) to buy something........

12 Jul 2007: Seafood feast cum Clare's birthday celebration!!

One, two, three, four, five pretties of EQD!!

This gathering is intended as a seafood feast among colleagues, & it happened that Clare's 27th birthday is just 2 days later (ie 14 Jul). So we took this opportunity to celebrate her birthday as well.

There were 6 of us. 5 girls & 1 guy. Lucky Kah Hin. Haha!! He drove us there from Eunos MRT Station in his Picanto. Yeah just imagine how slim we are!! 5 passengers squeezing into the car. Luckily there wasn't any slopes, else the vehicle might just roll backwards!! =p

Went Long Beach at East Coast Park for seafood dinner. Well, it wasn't fantastic. Plus it was expensive. Not worth it. Don't think I'll ever go back again. But we enjoyed the dinner coz like I always say, it's the company that matters. =)

After dinner was drinks at The Beach Hut, which was at East Coast Park too. The place was cosy, nice & I love the concept. It felt so relaxed sitting there, chatting & enjoying the occasional sea breeze.

10 Jul 2007: Tien's treating us lunch!! How nice of him. As a vegetarian, he suggested Halia Restaurant.

OH NO!! I forgot to snap pictures of Tien's car!! His car is amazing (or am I just being a mountain tortoise)!! It's a MPV (or so I think, coz it looks like one), & the doors slide open automatically. The interior is really spacious, with plenty of leg room. I guess his children are always playing in his car!! Hahaha..

According to Tien, his car is always in a mess. But as he had to drive us to the lunch venue, he took the effort to clean up his car. Impressive!!

Reached the restaurant, & all of us ordered a set meal. It consisted of a starter, main, dessert & coffee/tea. The food was nice, but I wouldn't say it was fantastic. Well to me, it's the company that matters. We had a really enjoyable lunch, laughing & chatting all the way. Especially when Tien told us many things that we didn't know about him. Raised in Britain, he is indeed very open about himself.

& where exactly is Halia Restaurant? It's at Botanic Gardens. Yes Botanic Gardens. I dread this place. My first visit had left me with lots of memories. Bitter? Sweet? You determine. I couldn't help but feel sad when I reached there. Tried to hide those emotions behind my ever cheery smile.

06 - 08 Jul 2007: The long-awaited 4/4 gathering!! When was our last gathering? Couldn't remember. That was AGES ago.

Part of it was 4/4 gathering, another part was a birthday celebration for Ken & Sean. Surprise for them!! Hehe..

Day 1: Faked MC for preparations like buying their presents, & collecting birthday cake a Republic Plaza. Busy busy day. Passed Lian the cake & presents so the birthday boys won't know about it. =p Went to the chalet, playing cards & relaxing away in the bedroom (it was a 2-storey chalet). When Lian joined us after her lessons, ta-dah, we surprised them with the cake!!

After all the SOP (standard operating procedures) of birthday celebration (ie. sing birthday song, make a wish, cut cake, sabotage), we FINALLY get to savour the richness of Awfully Chocolate cake!! When Ken had only a small bite of his cake & Sean not even a single bite, Zhiwei pushed their faces into their cakes!! (Or was it he pushed the cake into their face? Whatever lah, outcome is the same.) Wasted cake + huge mess at the chalet.

Day 2: Decided to watch Die Hard 4 coz we had nothing better to do!! We can't be slacking in the warm & stuffy chalet unit all day right. Though the chalet (Coasta Sands) is located at Pasir Ris, we didn't watch in TM coz the seats suck. One of the worst seats. Travelled all the day to Marina Square just to catch a movie. Haha.. Anyway, the show was GREAT!!

30 Jun 2007: The night before, I was chatting with Kai Shan on MSN & he asked me to be his shopping companion. I agreed, & got my sis + Ying Bei jiejie along. Yingyan jiejie couldn't join us. =( We don't usually see one another except during family gatherings. Thus, we make it a point to meet up occasionally to catch up. Haha..

Yingbei found it weird that Kaishan asked us out. Yeah, I felt a little too. But well, we are cousins afterall. Share the same surname too!! & Kaishan was the only guy around that day. Wahahaha..


Bang Bang!!

Went Orchard. Supposed to shop with Kaishan (yeah, he wanted to buy clothes), but ended up, it was shopping with ME. I just have too much on my shopping list. Haha.. He saw this tshirt from Giordano Concepts, which we thought looked nice on him. He wanted to shop around more before deciding to buy. When he couldn't see anything else that he fancied, & my sis went back to the shop with him & they have none left (there were still 3 tshirts left when we first went there)!! That was fast!! He went home feeling disappointed...

Bought what I wanted. My bikini set + a pair of jet black pointed heels from yes, Charles & Keith. Saw another pair of really lovely heels at Novo. They were really really pretty. I love them so much. BUT... My feet hurt the moment I slip into them. =( The C&K pair that I bought, felt comfy when I tried them on, but I soon realised that they hurt my feet like hell!! Aaarrrrggghhh...

Met Keng Soon for supper after that. SUPPER at Hong Kong Cafe at East Coast Road. Their french toast is really good. Comparable to the ones I had in Hong Kong. Keng Soon wanted to go Old Hong Kong, which was at East Coast Rd too (yes, the one where I had dinner with the guys after cycling). But I recommended Hong Kong Cafe coz I thought they are good. I didn't know the exact location, except that Shell petrol station is somewhat next to it, & there's a Caltex opposite it. Poor KS, he had to drive round that area searching for the place. =p Eat eat eat, my weight is going uptrend, & the occasional downtrend is just retracement. Crap!!

24 Jun 2007: The guys suggested cycling at East Coast Park. Wow, haven't been exercising ever since the end of Pilates, & I don't know if I have the stamina to cycle.

Borrowed bike from Ken, so I went to his place early in the morning to choose a bike. Set off to ECP after Sean arrived. Jiayang was supposed to join us, but he wasn't feeling well & flew plane. Lian met us later in the day at ECP. I thought I would faint or complain during the journey to ECP. Surprisingly, I wasn't tired at all after we reached there. Ok lah, it's quite near actually. =p

Besides the few of us, Jeanette & Keng Soon joined us too!! Jeanette went cycling as well, & KS went roller blading. Guess what, we bumped into Katrina while cycling!! What a coincidence.

Tired tired tired. Cycled for about 6+ hours. Of course, we had rest in between. Else I think I will die. Haha.. Butt pain. I chose the bike with cushion, yet my butt hurt like hell!! Ken didn't have any cushion on his bike. Oops..

Clumsy me, I ended up with a huge bruise on the back of my right leg. Plus a few other bruises on my other leg. =(

Went home to shower & freshen up after cycling, then Lian drove us to Katong for dinner. Wanted to go Aston's for their nice western food, but the queue was so damn long!! Walked for quite sometime before we decided to settle our dinner at Old Hong Kong Cafe at East Coast Road. I think that the Hong Kong Cafe further down East Coast Road is much better. French toast. Yummy~

27 Jun 2007: HAPPY 8 MONTHS.. =)

Time passes so quickly each month. It seems like we just celebrated 7 months, & now, it's 8 months already. During our 7 months, we went to BJ McDonald's for lunch. Same venue for 8 months too. Idiot you, trying to make me fat is it. Humph.. =(

Just before we wanted to go for lunch, you smsed me & said that you couldn't lunch with Pink Teddy Bear & he was getting the girls. You also said we would wait for them to go off first before we go.

Sounds so funny & scandalous to me (ok it SOUNDS scandalous but it's not). Hahaha.. I know, it would be very very awkward if we were to bump into them. This reminded me of one occasion, when the girls asked me for lunch & I told them I had lunch appointment already. Yeah, lunch appointment with you. In the end, we bumped into them & they found out that we were lunching together. Know how paiseh I felt? They asked us to join them & I couldn't say no.

Sadly, you smsed me after that, "Why did you ask so many people for lunch? I only wanted to lunch with you. I have lots & lots to talk to you." At that point in time, I couldn't describe how I felt. Accused? Wronged? I don't know. And after work that day, we went to Adam Food Centre for nasi lemak. Then proceeded to Botanic Gardens for a long long talk.............

Any surprise that I actually remember?

15 Jun 2007: Gathering with the girls!! This time, it isn't to celebrate someone's birthday, but just to catch up with one another. Had dinner at Tampines Mall, Pasta Mania.

Arranged to meet at 7pm at Tampines MRT Station. I thought I was the latest coz I reached there at 7.05pm. I left office at around 6.20pm, walked to Raffles Place MRT & managed to reach within 45mins. Amy left home at 6.15pm, took bus & reached at only 7.10 or 7.15pm. And she lives in Bedok. This just shows one thing: the efficiency of bus services in Singapore.

Side track a little, I waited for 229 to Ken's place at Bedok Interchange for a whopping 35mins!! Can you believe it?!

Treated the girls to dinner coz..... Hehehe.. And they thought I have a bf that's why I wanna "celebrate"!! LOL.. In turn, they treated me ice cream at Swensen's after dinner. So satisfied!!

Met the guys at Simpang for supper after that. I was so full after dinner + ice cream that I didn't eat anything. I wouldn't have met them if we didn't have plans to surprise Lian. They watched Ocean's 13 before that. I didn't join them coz firstly, I was meeting the girls. Secondly, I already watched it the day before with Daniel.

All thanks to Ken who spilled the beans, they knew about my date with Daniel. When I reached Simpang, Lian started to "interrogate" me. Blehz. Haha..

Walked to Ken's place after supper. We lured Lian there coz we wanted to present the completed jigsaw puzzle to her. She was so touched upon getting it!! Our efforts paid off. Hehe.. And don't know who left the receipt in the empty puzzle box. & yeah, she saw how much we spent on her present. -_-

01 & 02 Jun 2007: A really sinful start to my June. On Fri, I met the girls (Lindy & Yanping) + Ping's bf Darren for dinner at Chomp Chomp. We had this sudden craving for the stingray there, & ta-dah, there we decided to go.

Had BBQ sambal stingray (that's what we were there for), fried oyster, fried hokkien mee, fried carrot cake & hotplate sambal sotong. Everything also fried. So heaty. Fattening. BUT NOT LIKE WE CARE!! Plus an extra huge mug of sugar cane juice. As Lindy put it, "You are not a Chomper if you don't order the sugar cane juice." Hahaha..

The standard of stingray seemed to have dropped. It doesn't taste as nice as the previous time we had it. Hmmm.. Fried oyster was so-so, hokkien mee wasn't bad with the fried lard bits. Sotong was NICE!! Soft & chewy. Yum yum... But the carrot cake, CANNOT MAKE IT.

On Saturday after my driving lesson, I met Keng Soon & Ken (KS's friend Ken, & not my friend Ken. My friend is Kenneth, but we usually call him Ken) for dinner at Changi Village. Had the same stuff again. BBQ sambal stingray, oyster egg, sambal sotong & sambal kangkong. Everything was spicy. Sambal. SHIOK!!

29 May 2007: Happy 7 Months!!

Celebrated our 7 months today. Yesterday, you smsed me:

Since you said that, I have no choice but to wear dress right. Haha..

Went Bugis for lunch. You wanted Ajisen but I didn't want to. Was craving for McDonald's. I had my wish granted. Yay!! Shake shake shake shake shaker fries!! =P

Went shopping after lunch. We looked for the green floral dress at GG<5, & as expected, they ran out of my size - XS. Hey, I wear XS hor, still call me fat. Humph..

19 May 2007: Happy Super Belated Birthday Amy!! Everyone's so so so busy, we can only celebrate her 22nd birthday 10 days after the actual day.

Among the 6 of us, I'm the "free-est" person. I'm always ok with anyday, anytime. Haha.. Qin Ting's having exams, so she couldn't meet up. Yajing fell sick the day before, & she couldn't meet as well. As for Ai Ling, she got recalled back to office last minute. (Haiz, the pain of working in SPF. Sounds so much like army.)

So, only Shu Zheng & I could make it. Amy turned up with her bf, Weihan. They were so early!! I was punctual (for once), yet I was the last to reach!! Haha..

But before that......... I was preparing to go out (applying makeup, choosing clothes etc) when Adrian smsed. He said he was queueing at Donut Factory & asked if I wanted any donuts. I thought it was so nice of him to help me buy. But in the end, I would have to join him if I wanted. Coz each person can only buy 2 dozens.

Well so, I rushed with my preparations & rushed to Raffles City. Donut Factory opens at 12.30pm. But they opened early!! Just a few minutes before I reached, they already took Adrian's orders (he was 2nd in the queue). AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

No donuts for me. =( So disappointed. But so nice of Adrian, he offered me ONE donut. Haha.. And Grandpa.. You promised to queue with me. I shall haunt you for that. =P

Back to the celebration. Our gathering is kinda standard in a sense. Lunch/dinner, shopping, home. For me, I don't usually care about the activities done during friends gathering. It's more about catching up, & being in the company of my dear friends. That's the most important to me. Even doing nothing together is an enjoyment to me. =)

11 May 2007: Spidey spidey spidey!! What an exciting day for me. Have been wanting to watch Spiderman 3 for ages. I thought I could watch it with the guys on the day it started screening. Much to my disappointment, Sean & Jiayang were in Thailand & Australia respectively. Army commitments. =(

Other friends have asked me to watch, but I declined. Coz I only wanna watch it with my best buddies. Don't know why, I love watching blockbusters with them. I guess I love them too much!! Haha..

This day finally arrived. I booked the tickets online a day before the show, & as expected, not much good seats were left for the 1940 & 2015 show. So I got tickets for the 1900 show. Was rushing my work in the day so I could rush off at 1800 sharp.

Guess what. Sean & Jiayang were enjoying their off at home, yet they were LATE!! I had to rush like mad to Cineleisure to collect the movie tickets & to help them buy popcorn & drinks. Ken was late too. He booked out of camp late, so he can be excused. BUT NOT FOR SEAN & JY!!

After movie with the guys, Peiwen asked me to go clubbing with her. I agreed, & we forced Xinzhong to go with us too. Hehe.. The clubs in Clarke Quay were so crowded, & Xinzhong suggested joining his brother & friends at a KTV bar.

It's called Drink Drank Drunk, located at Jiak Chuan Road. Took a cab there from Tanjong Pagar MRT station. Xinzhong's brother, Daniel, was there with a big group of friends. Xinzhong, Peiwen & I sat at another table. Daniel, Kenneth & Shi Ming joined us shortly.

Had this conversation with a guy friend recently. It made me realise that, typical girls are sensitive. VERY sensitive. The conversation goes like this:

Guy: Are you very sleepy now?
Guy: Haha
Girl: Yeah... Sleepy + headache...
Guy: Why headache? Lack of sleep?
Girl: I guess so...
Girl: Didn't use much brain power today, so I guess it's fatigue..
Guy: Mmm.... Hiaz
Girl: Why sigh?
Guy: See u like that....
Guy: How to stay pretty?
Girl: Hor hor....... So you saying I'm very ugly?
Girl: Haha..
Guy: Stay pretty... Read carefully...
Girl: Ya lor...
Girl: You said, "How to stay pretty" means cannot stay pretty..
Girl: Means I'm ugly...
Guy: Stay pretty means you still pretty, but if you don't take gooood care, we won't know... Haha...

You see, just a simple comment from a guy, & the girl will assume all the meaning behind it. It's just a really simple statement yet girls can think so much. I pity guys at times. Haha..

05 May 2007: 10.30pm. Was chatting on MSN with Keng Soon & he asked me out for drinks. Felt bored at home, hence I agreed. He asked his friend, Ken, along as well. Keng Soon picked me up at my place at 2315 as promised. He was really prompt. Haha..

My MSN nick was, "I want to feast." So they thought I really wanted to feast, & we went to the food centre at East Coast Park. It was then they realised I couldn't eat anything!! So, I watched while they eat. LIFE IS MISERABLE WITHOUT FOOD. When will I ever recover?

03 May 2007: Banana Rama!!

Went to Tiong Bahru Plaza's NTUC during lunch with Meilian, Winnie, the Brokeback Wees (Wee Kiat + Wee Thia) & Tien. Went there to? Replenish our divisional snacks of course. The gentlemen were our porters. Haha..

Had lunch at Tiong Bahru Plaza's foodcourt. As usual, I couldn't eat whatever I want due to my cough. =( I had vegetarian food instead. All the fake meat. Flour. Fattening. Well, at least my lunch wasn't that bland. There were some colours.

Guess who we saw. Was about to badmouth this person to Wee Thia, but was interrupted by him, "Wah, we come all the way here, still can see familiar faces." I turned my head, curious who that "familiar face" was, & realised it was BOY BOY!! 见鬼了!! Lucky for me. Else I would be badmouthing him happily, with him listening behind me. *Shudders*

Bought what we wanted at NTUC, & the bill came up to $200+. We realised there is free delivery with $150 purchase, so we had them delivered to our office. The 3 gentlemanly porters made a wasted trip. Haha..

01 May 2007: It's Labour Day, a public holiday!! Was thinking of cooping myself at home to recuperate & blog, but I guess boredom got to me. Coincidentally, Wen jie (Peiwen) asked me to sing K (which is my favouriteeeee). OF COURSE I AGREED!!

Went for the K Lunch session, which is from 11am - 2pm. Supposed to meet them (Wen jie, her bf Dan & Dan's friend Then) at 10.50am outside Cineleisure. But old habits die hard. I was late as usual. So I asked them to sing first.

They were in Room 39. Went in, Wen jie screamed my name (she calls me Yin mei) & hugged me!!! Haha.. Two siao char bors reunite. When I first saw Then, I noticed his nose straightaway. Wen jie told me he's got a really gorgeous nose. She is right. Nice nose indeed. There was a resemblance between Then & someone. But I couldn't pinpoint who is this person. But well, not like I really bother. Haha..

Wen jie or Dan chose one of the songs from Jay Chou, called 珊瑚海. This song is a duet with Lara. The couple sang the 1st half of the song, & passed the 2nd half to Then & I. It felt awkward to sing Lara's part as I'm very used to singing Jay's part. So used to it that I kept singing the wrong tune (Jay's tune). =P

Wanted to watch Spiderman 3 after K. As it was a public holiday, we couldn't get the tickets. SAD.....

When we suggested taking neo prints, I was surprised that Then was really game about it. Guys I know usually frown upon hearing such requests. But Then was very sporting. Cool!!

So we went shopping after taking neo prints. I wanted to get a wallet for the longest time, yet couldn't find one that I like. Shopped around Orchard. The guys went to Kinokuniya, while Wen jie & I went in & out of the boutiques. Saw this pretty wallet in Dior. Very sweet & girlish looking. It's in white colour, which gets dirty easily. But it's really pretty!!!

27 Apr 2007: HAPPY 6 MONTHS.

Supposed to lunch with you today. To celebrate 6 months. But I'm on MC, so..... Sorry my fault. I will make up for it ok? Actually, there's no need for MC lah. You "forced" me to take, so ok lor, take lor. & since I'm given one, don't waste it right? =P It's more like I wanna sleep longer (ya, I'm so zhu). Slept 4hrs extra. Feel so fresh after waking up. =)

When I see you these days, I feel nothing. Emotionless. No pain, no hurt, no sadness, no hatred. I feel neutral. I guess that's a good thing. Maybe I'm learning to let go. Happy for me? =)

I'm amazed by myself. Amazed by my ability to accept you as my friend again. And it's within such a short period of time. Didn't know I'm so gracious. And hey, we are more than just friends right? We are Grandpa & Grandgirl. Hahahaha...

Despite our age gap, we managed to click so well. As you said, I am childish. Now you see, if you can click with me, this just shows you are MORE CHILDISH than I am. Hahaha... =p

Actually, when I was down with high fever, I missed you like crazy. But I had to keep my promise, so I resisted the urge to contact you. Felt very terrible then. I talked to one of my best buddies. Had a really long talk with him. He said something that jolted me, & I woke up in that instant. It was then that I learnt to let go. Thanks Ken. =)

If I hadn't smsed you the other day, will you ever contact me again? Will our friendship ever be salvaged?

Anyway, I'm very happy with the way things are now. Thanks for keeping your promise. This is one of my happiest anniversaries. =)

21 Apr 2007: Sentosa, here I come!! The highly-anticipated day is finally here. Been talking about it since weeks ago. Why is it that, whenever I plan a trip to Sentosa, I will definitely fall sick? Like last year, Credit Suisse had this event at Sentosa, and Prima & Carmen invited us there. When we were all so excited about it, I fell sick. -_- And this time round, I was down with high fever 3 days before that.

Anyway, was caged at home for 3 whole days!! I can take it no more. So I decided to join Yanping, Lindy & her bf Edward, Weiwen & his friend Eddie (or is it Eddy?).

Supposed to meet Yanping at 3pm at HarbourFront MRT. Then she called & asked to change the meeting time to 3.30pm. I'd expect her to be late, so I was like 10mins late. On my way there, I got a sms from her saying, "Any surprise I'll be late?" Haha of course not. Since when our Miss Yanping is NOT late? =p She was not only late, but VERY late. Win liao..

Wanted to take the Sentosa Express there. But Weiwen said Eddie was driving, so we hitched a ride into Sentosa.

Our aim was the Luge Ride, which according to my lovely friend Adrian, was "just rolling down the slope & nothing else." He was right in a way lah. Nothing thrilling about it. After which, we had to take the Skyride back.

The 4 of us (Ping, Weiwen, Eddie & I) took the same ride back. I was really scared as I have height phobia. I was grabbing the hand bar really tightly. Ping tried to calm me by grabbing my arm. Then, we realised Weiwen was grabbing the hand bar just like me. And it all came back...... Weiwen's got height phobia as well!!! We got to know that during our trip to Genting in 2005. Now, we've got another surprise. Eddie's got height phobia also!! But he was more concerned of his slippers falling off. Haha.. Ping commented, "Gosh, I'm taking this skyride together with 3 people who have height phobia."

Initially, I requested to walk back instead of taking the skyride again. They were ok with it. But after Lindy said, "Wah si Jieyin, you dare take the skyride?!" I decided to overcome this fear. And we had another 2 rounds of skyride. This time, I learnt to relax. I told myself that it was perfectly safe & nothing will happen to me. Just that, I had to make sure my slippers do not fall off. Haha.. In the mid air, we had a breath-taking view of Rasa Sentosa Resort. Very beautiful sunset. It was simply gorgeous. So captivating that I forgot all my fears...

HUMPH!!! They had B&J's ice-cream while I could only S&S (stare & salivate). When can I ever eat ice-cream again? =(

Wanted to buy tickets to Songs of the Sea at Siloso Beach. But we were super turned off by the kiasu crowd (there was already LONG queue for the 7.40pm show & it was barely 7pm then). So we decided to give it a miss and..... DINNER (yes, food)!!

Lindy wanted to go Waraku at Central while I wanted to HK Kim Gary Restaurant at VivoCity, which I heard was really nice. So Lindy & I played scissors-paper-stone to determine the winner. I'm really sway with this game. No matter who I play with, I will lose most of the time. I'm sway this time as well.

Carpark was full at Central. So Eddie drove a few rounds around the area, before we decided to go Tampopo at Liang Court. To eat the Black Pig. What a heavy dinner....

27 Apr 2007: Was down with high fever. Haiz.. I hate falling sick. All the "goodies" will start coming with fever. And I got them all. Running nose, COUGH. Been coughing for a week plus already. On MC again. This is the 5th day I'm taking MC. Actually, there's no need for MC lah. But Grandpa forced me to take. Since I have it, might as well utilise it. I was coughing like I have TB. Aaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh..

I can't eat lots of things. Chocolates, biscuits, cookies, chips, desserts, etc etc. All my favourite stuff!! Guess what, I'm so deprived that I started craving for papayas when I saw them in the fridge this morning. Papayas!! For those who don't know, I HATE papayas. Now I'm craving for them. What is this?

Was craving for strawberries badly. I have this weird craving whenever I'm sick. Last monday, you satisfied my strawberries craving. Feel so satisfied. Thanks!!

You said you'll buy me donuts from Donut Factory after I've recovered. Would love that very much. Afterall, people have been queueing & I wanna know what's the hype about it. But the queue is totally insane. No point wasting a few hours just to queue for the donuts. Still, I wanna try the donuts if given the chance.

I've finally made that decision to let go. It's hard, but I will try. I'm doing this for our sake. I am tired, & I wanna free myself from this emotional struggle. I believe you are tired too. Plus guilty (not towards me though). Since you won't know when to address this, let me do the job. Work has already taken a toll on your health, and all I want is a happy & healthy Grandpa. I really wanna see you happy.

Grandpa. I haven't been calling you that for a long time. & I miss you calling me Grandgirl. I feel like a princess whenever you call me that.

Was at Bugis on 13 Apr to celebrate a colleague's birthday. Everything about you just flowed to my mind like a tidal wave...... Especially this phrase, "千里送鹅毛, 物轻情意重."

You loved to suan me with this phrase. It all started from the day you came back from HK. I asked you to help me get SK-II eye mask there. Upon arrival, you went home, then drove to my place to deliver my stuff. You said my face was black when I saw you. Know the reason? You had to report to camp for reservist the following day, & you arrived SIN at night. I felt bad for eating into your resting time, yet I was thrilled to see you. You kept saying I didn't appreciate it, so you invented this, "千里送 SK, 物轻情意重." Haha...

I have one regret though. We were supposed to have this act cute competition during our 5 months. But I wasn't feeling too well, so we had to postpone it. I thought we could do it during our 6 months. Half a year. That'll be fun!! Now, it doesn't seem possible anymore. What a pity.

Despite me asking you not to contact me anymore, you continued to do so. But it's for my own well-being. You know I hate my job scope. You know my sadness towards my job has slowly evolved into frustrations. But you know you cannot help me directly, so you tried to help in another way. To make me feel better. To make me look at the brighter side. To make me realise what I can do instead of wallowing in self-pity.

You made me feel so bad. Very bad. Thus, I tried to turn your kindness away. At that point in time, you must have thought, "I've wasted all my efforts on her, who doesn't appreciate a single thing I've done."

05 Apr 2007: Genting, here we come!!!! Went Genting during the long weekend with my best buddies, Su Lian & the guys. We took a red-eye coach on Thurs. Rushed home after work so I could make it in time at Golden Mile at 9.30pm.

You wanted me to take cab there. You knew I'd refuse if I were to pay on my own, so you gave me $20 for cab fare. But I didn't want your money. All I wanted was you to accompany me there. That's all. I only wanted to have a few more glimpses of you before I miss you like crazy, but you didn't give me the chance to do so. So sad & disappointed, but I understand you have your work commitments. I know I'm not all that important to you (that's why you didn't want to go with me), but I take it that you were really busy...

The 3D2N trip was fun!! Upon reaching Genting at about 6.30am, we went to McDonald's for breakfast. For the avid butter lover like me, I had erm, quite a lot of my hotcakes. Yummy~ We waited till about 9+ or 10 before we could check in. Lian & I were counting down to our number like some excited mountain tortoise tourists. Hahahaha...

We spent all our time walking around in Genting. We didn't go to the theme park. They guys thought it's boring, while I, the timid one, dare not take the rides. =( The most enjoyable part was the time spent in the arcade. Lian kept spinning the "lucky wheel", wanting to get the BIG prize (which as a dinosaur soft toy). She spinned & spinned, but couldn't get her dino. The second time I spinned, I won it!! Then I gave that soft toy to her. Hehe...

The guys played games with tickets. After collating all our tickets, we exchanged for "gifts". There was a nice mug, which Lian gave it to me. Coz she said I gave her the dino. Haha..

On the second day, we had lunch at Pizza Hut. As usual, we played zhong ji mi ma when there were unfinished food. Loser shall finish the food. The first time I kena, I had to finish drinking one glass of Pepsi - non stop. I started the game after which. They all ganged up to make me blur, and then lose!!!! So, had to gulp the second glass of Pepsi down. I almost threw up. Stomach was super bloated & full of gas. =(

23 Mar 2007: Met Peiwen & Xinzhong in the afternoon. AFTERNOON? Yes, afternoon. Had MC, but was ok already, so I sneaked out. Ssshhhhhh.... Don't waste the MC mah. Hahaha.. Anyway, I didn't feel like working. Very very tired of my work. Am dragging myself to office already. Haiz..

Peiwen just tendered her resignation. She's sick of flying around & it leaves her with little time to accompany her bf & family. This made me wonder... Should I give my air stewardess dream a shot? Hmm..

Yeah so, Peiwen was free to meet in the afternoon as well. As for Xinzhong, he ended class early. Haha....

We wanted to have dinner at Sun with Moon Japanese Restaurant at Wheelock Place. When I called, it was fully booked!! So we went there for tea. Had some yummylicious DESSERTS. *Slurp* The teriyaki chicken is nice. My omelette, so so only. The desserts are cute!! Heard from Ling jie that the sashima is fabulous!! I MUST try it one day. In the near future. A MUST for me. Haha..

Went to take neo prints after that!! There's this new machine at Cineleisure, which allows you to send the pictures to your mobile phone via infrared. Cool eh. BUT hor, we didn't manage to get our pictures. Why? Apparently, we chose the wrong setting, that's why our phones couldn't read that format. What is this....

Bought 2 pairs of heels & 1 pair of slippers from Substance. Costed $89.80 in total. Cheap right.

Went to sing K despite my sore throat. And it got worse after that. Haha.. But we had loads of fun!! Woohooooooo!!!!!

After which, was to Day Bed Bar for drinks. Martinis. Too bad, Peiwen couldn't join us for the drinks. =(

So happy.. Really must thank Xinzhong for introducing Peiwen to me. We love the same things!! And both of us are equally siao.. =P

Before you left, I already missed you. I shouldn't be missing you, but I cannot help it. When I was really down & stressed up with my work, I felt so terrible that I cried in the toilet. Haiz.. At that moment, I missed you even more. How I wish you were there comforting me. Even your mere presence would suffice. WISHFUL THINKING!! FAT HOPE!! Should give myself a few tight slaps for harbouring such thoughts.

Was very happy to hear your voice that night. But sadly, you sounded like you can't wait to get off the line. Have you ever missed me during the time when you were away? Well, I doubt so. Can't think of any reasons for you to miss me. Coz.......

I miss all the days, hours, minutes & seconds we spent together. I especially miss the day you sang Ju Hua Tai (the full version) to me at East Coast Park. I simply love it. You even had the lyrics in your hand. So comical. Haha..

03 Mar 2007: Amy's mum passed away from mouth cancer. Went to her wake at night. Amy was kind of in a daze & couldn't really react as per normal. Maybe it was due to the grief ba.. Haiz.. Life is so unpredictable & fragile. We should treasure our loved ones when they are by our side. We never know when they will leave us, or when we will leave them.

Went for prata supper with the guys after that. Jiayang drove us to the NUS prata shop. Sean had won $65 in Toto, so it was his treat. So sweet of him. Crazy us. Went all the way to Clementi just to have prata? Not like Simpang Bedok doesn't have prata shops. Haha..

On our way home, Jiayang was travelling at 120km/h on the ECP!! Way beyond the speed limit, but he sped coz he knew exactly where the speed cameras are. He only slowed down when approaching the cameras. & guess what, a car zoomed past us. WTF!! That car was going at like 140km/h? It's crazy....

02 Mar 2007: Went Agnes' place to bai nian with Lindy. Yanping's supposed to join us as well, but she had to do OT. Worked till super late. Poor girl.

Waited for Edward (Lindy's bf) to pick me up at Hougang Mall. He sent the both of us to Agnes' place, which is at some ulu corner called Jalan Lokam. Really ulu. Edward went a couple of rounds in that area before we finally found the place.

Her place is really HUUUUGGGEEEE. 2 storeys with 7 bedrooms in total. Cool.. Agnes' bedroom is on the 1st level, and it's really big. Around the size of my living room!!

When I saw Geok Min, I had this short converstation with him:

Me: Hey Geok Min, long time no see!!
GM: Eh hi..
Me: You seem to fa fu (gain weight) already. Still eat so much. Time to lose weight lah.
GM: Wah, it's CNY & you say this kind of thing.
Me: Then what do you want me to say? I'm very honest, I won't lie. =P
GM: You should put it this way, "Hmm, you look a little bloated today. What happened to you?"
GM: Should say it in this way mah. Sounds nicer you know.
Me: What's the difference anyway? They both mean that you've put on weight. Hahaha..
GM : (bway tahan me)

See, even GUYS are so conscious about their figure. Not just girls alone ok.....

While the guys were playing blackjack, I played mahjong with Lindy & 2 other girls from SGX (I think one of them is called Judy?). Guess what, they are the experts in mahjong while I'm the idiot. =( I think they really cannot stand my playing speed. Oops.. =P Was the biggest loser on that table. Lost $3+. Haha is that considered lucky or sway?

01 Mar 2007: Celebrated our 4 months of agony & my 1st anniversary in GIC. Haha.. You weren't feeling well & you looked really pale. It kind of hurts me to see you in that state. You reported to work as usual coz you said you wanted to spread your "joy". And yes, you wanted to spread your "joy" especially to me (eh, I still wanna bai nian on the following day hor). But you FAILED!! Hahaha...

Went maxwell for lunch. We both had yong tau hoo. After lunch, you brought me to a place. A shop in Erskine Road called Egg3. They have really interesting accessories there, but they don't come cheap. You told me you bought my earrings there (no wonder you brought me there!!). Know what, I really really love the butterfly that came with that pair of earrings (and I love the earrings of course).

You brought me to Chinatown after that coz there's a shop that sells nice clothes. You wanted me to try on the dresses again, & even attempted to laugh at me when I couldn't fit into the size S clothes. But sorry to disappoint you, size S (the smallest size available) is too big for me!!! Hahaha... The salesgirls were really enthusiastic (or were they too free coz we were the only customers?). They kept offering me all sorts of dresses, asking me to try them on. When I tried one of the cutesy dresses, you said I looked good. I think I looked cute & youthful in that. Haha..

Somehow, I just didn't have the urge to spend money. I'm really terrible, I do everything based on my mood. I like that dress, but really, I didn't feel like spending. You tempted me again & again & again, till I finally said ok. Horrible you, you ended up paying for my dress again. Thank you!! =)

And really sorry..... Sorry for my loudness that made it sound like I was scolding you. I wasn't scolding you ok? Never intended to.....

Happy 4 months. 4 months of torture & blue blacks. Haha..

It's the 27th today.

We've known each other for 4 months. We celebrated during 2 months & 3 months. Still remember, you brought me to Liang Court's Tampopo for lunch on 27 Dec 2006. They have your specie - Black Pig. Haha.. After lunch was a sinfulicious ice cream dessert at Haagen Dazs - my fav ice cream. I wanted a snowman ice cream, & you requested the staff to do it. It was really cute & I love it so so much.

While having our ice cream, you told me that it was really relaxing to sit there without the crowd at shopping malls. It was a quiet afternoon at Clarke Quay. We sat at this corner, the sofa seat next to the glass window. The sun's rays shone through the glass & brightened the place. They were playing Christmas carols & you wanted me to sing along. But I refused. =p

Ultimately, I started singing while we were walking back. I sang "A Whole New World" coz you wanted to know how it sounds. Yeah right. It was just your pathetic bid to make me open my mouth & sing. You had your wish granted anyway. =) As I always say, when the mood is there, I will sing non-stop. So the both of us started singing on our way back. The only two songs that I remember you sing was the cover version of this old song done by Mayday, and another was your fav song, Xie Yi Shou Ge....

During 3 months, we celebrated on 26 Jan 2007 as the 27th falls on a Saturday. Went to Thai Express at Raffles City. Something happened after that. You did something that made me angry, but it subsided after a very short while. Really. I wasn't angry anymore, but you felt so bad about it. I assured you time & again that everything's fine, but you still could not forgive yourself.....

That weekend, you were preparing for your business trip & reservist. The day before your trip, you asked, "Will you miss me & my pinches?" And I replied, "Yes, will miss you & everything that's associated with you." I really missed you during that week.

Fast forward till today. 4 months. So much had happened during this 1 month. Everything's changed. Both of us feel hurt now. Can we still celebrate our 4 months like before? We shall see... =)

Guess everything was like ice cream. Initially, everything was perfect. Smooth. But they will be gone sooner or later. Once it melts, everything's gone. You can only see a puddle of creamy substance, which only brings back the vivid memories of how it used to be like. It can never be reversed to its original shape.

24 Feb 2007: Met you for dinner. My last dinner with you I suppose. Had decided what to do when I was at MacRitchie Reservoir earlier on. All thanks to the peaceful environment, that made me sort out my thinking.

As usual, I was late. You said the latecomer would pay for dinner. =) I had dry chicken teriyaki ramen, you had pork curry ramen, & we shared a soft shell crab (my all-time favourite). You wanted to pay for dinner, but I insisted in paying this time round. A small part was due to the fact that I was late. The other reason was, I knew it would be my last dinner with you, so......

Shopped around Bugis Junction after dinner. I bought a cardholder & hp pouch. Spent money again. =( Again, you saw this pretty pink dress in GG<5. You wanted me to try it on, but I retorted, "You think fashion show ah. Everything also must try & show you." So bad of me. =p Saw a slight disappointment in your eyes. I felt bad in that instant. Or was I reading too much into things?

You must be wondering why I kept dragging you to take pictures with me. There's a full-stop to everything, including our somewhere-in-between-friends-and-lovers relationship. Just wanna keep them as memories. I wanna remember the happy times we had. I'm really grateful for the chance you've given me.

Went Selegie to satisfy my tau huay craving which I'd been making noise since don't know when. You succumbed to your you tiao. You are further & further from your goal. Hahaha... You sent me home after that. Was thinking how to broach that topic on our way. Felt like giving up that thought & let things remain as they were. But my conscience pricked me. It's like the angel & devil scenario, where the angel told me I should do what I ought to do, & the devil trying to get me to follow my heart.

Reached my place finally. I plucked up the courage to talk to you. Again, I almost backed out. Coz I know I will lose all the fun we've been having once I initiate the talk. But I was glad I went ahead with it. It was a painful decision to make. We talked a lot. I was on the verge of crying when I was telling you how I felt. As I am typing this, tears well in my eyes again. What a crybaby I am. Always crying. Never cried so much over one issue before.

You are right. We brought each other happiness, but heartache as well. I choose to remember the joy & forget the pain. I really really enjoyed all the time spent with you. You did hurt me. I am hurt. It's time for me to move on rather than dwell on it. But I need time to heal.....

24 Feb 2007: Rise & shine!! Woke up early in the morning (6.15am) on a Saturday. Really unusual for me. Went for a 10km walk in the woods of MacRitchie Reservoir with my colleagues Sheryce, Bernard, Chin Hui & his gf, Angeline. The main reason for joining them was to stop Bernard from laughing at me. I wanted to prove to him that, though I'm really bad at running, I have no problems with walking. Bleh...

Bernard picked me up at my place. Supposed to meet him at 7.30am, but I was 15mins late. Nothing new anyway. I am always 15mins late. Haha.. Had this sinfulicious chocolate brownie in his car. All his fault. =p

Guess what. They said I could barely make it after 2km!!!!!!!!! Humph.. I knew I could make it till the end, so I had this "wait & see" face. Haha..

Cool morning. Fresh air everywhere. The smell & sound of nature. It felt so good. A relaxing morning away from the usual hectic life in office. I started to think of you again, thinking of the best solution for the both of us. Haiz...

Ta-dah!! After less than 4hrs, we completed everything! Yes, I completed it as well. I knew I could do it. =p Poor Sheryce, she had some abrasions on her ankles. Lucky for her, I forced Bernard to bring my plasters along, which he didn't want to initially.

Went Adam Food Centre for lunch. I had this super fattening famous yummy nasi lemak there. All thanks to Bernard again. =(

20 Feb 2007: 3rd day of CNY. Went house hopping with 4 handsomes & 1 pretty. Gambled at every stop before we proceeded to another place. 1st stop was Lao Su's place, 2nd was Weiming's place, 3rd was mine, 4th was Jiayang's, 5th was Kenneth's, & the final stop was Sean's place.

At Weiming's place, most of Ken's losses go to my winnings. Hahaha!! Jiayang was like the banker who did all the "funds transfer". I won the most at my place. Was munching on my favourite bak kua while gambling. Munched non-stop (yeah it's really fattening but I don't care) & won non-stop.

Fast forward to Sean's place. Attacked his water bed again. =P Ordered KFC. Yucks. Cold & soggy chicken, whipped potato with very little sauce. Tasted horrible. Gambled again. We are a hopeless bunch. Haha..

Food glorious food. I'd been eating non stop that day. FAT FAT FAT. But I don't care. I live to eat. I love to eat. Haha..

18 & 19 Feb 2007: The first 2 days of CNY. You asked me out on both evenings. Wanted to say NO to you, but I let my emotions overwhelm my head. Wanted to see you very much, so I agreed to meet you.

You tempted me with FOOD. How sinful.. =( Went to Sentosa after FOOD, spent $6 going in to see the musical fountain yet it wasn't light up (yeah, me & my brilliant idea for suggesting Sentosa.. haha). Sat somewhere at the fountain & chatted while enjoying the serenity of the night. The sound of flowing water, the occasional sound of erm insects? Everything felt so peaceful. I was lost in another world. A world with no worries, no unhappiness.

Proceeded to the pier to enjoy the breeze. When I looked at you, I felt a sudden tinge of heartache. My heart was bleeding. I asked myself what the f*** am I doing.

2nd day of CNY. We met again for dinner. FOOD. From Orchard to Geylang to East Coast Park. Had a really great, fun, crazy time (or so I thought). All the scratches, pinchings, whackings. Haha.. I enjoyed every moment spent with you.

Guilt struck me. I was doing things that will hurt an innocent party. Or should I say, I have already hurt her. She did nothing wrong & she certainly doesn't deserve such injustice. Though I don't know her, I still feel I've betrayed her. No, the betrayal comes from you, not me. I can't bear the thought of her knowing the truth. How will she react to it?

I am just a slut. A total slut.

15 Feb 2007: The day you had problems with your contact lens. The day we saw this lovely dress at GG<5 @ Bugis Junction. You wanted to buy it for me but I refused & dragged you out of the store. The day I ran errands at Orchard alone when we smsed each other. You said things like wanting to dote on me, wanting to pamper me etc. Went to my fav snacks haunt Marks & Spencer and I bought some muesli bars for you.

Started to think a lot when strolling down Orchard Road. I said something like, "Why did you make me fall when you don't even intend to catch me when I fall? It hurts you know." You apologised. You said you are hurt too. I seriously don't know if it's genuine or you are just saying it to "pacify" me. Felt really terrible. I wanted to cry but no tears would flow....

Was in a daze throughout the train ride home. Finally, tears rolled down my cheeks when I was walking home from the MRT station. Stopped my tears before I got home so as to not scare/worry my parents. Wondered why I subjected myself to this agony.

You called me shortly after I got home. I didn't sound right. You asked if I cried. I said no. Yeah right. So what if I said I cried? Does it make any difference to you? The answer is NO. You said you don't intend to step back. You want things to remain as they are now. I wish.... But it will only make me fall deeper into this endless pit.

Hi everyone, I'm back!!! (yeah right, not like anyone will read my boring posts.. haha..) It's been almost a year since I last updated my blog. 08 Feb 2007: The most memorable night at Botanic Gardens. Sweet but heart wrenching (for me). We talked a lot a lot. Was holding back my tears when I hugged you. Whatever we had were forbidden, but I cherished every detail. These beautiful memories of you will be sealed & kept in my heart forever.....

13 Feb 2007: You just told me that u feel more distant from me. It hurts to hear that. I hope u are just drained out. I don't wanna drift apart from u, not for now. I, too wish that we can stay like this for as long as we can.

This really freaked me out. It's been a long time since my feelings/premonition were so spot on. Here's what happened. Yesterday, I went to a Bloomberg training session with my colleagues, Cherie & Cleave. The day before, which was Tuesday, I had this weird feeling that I will see someone from Westcomb during the training.

When I didn't see any familiar faces upon reaching there, I told myself I was thinking too much, & forgot about this issue completely. BUT, halfway through the training, someone was late & went into the training room. I looked at that person, & realised it was "Harry Potter"! It was such a pleasant surprise for me as I didn't expect myself to ever meet him again. And bingo, he used to work in Westcomb. I only found out about his resignation at Westcomb when I met him at Bloomberg yesterday. So zhun right?

He was really cute. After the training, I went to the washroom. And after coming out, he was outside & introduced me to his friends. It was really nice of him, but I felt awkward at the same time. Haha..

The funny thing about this is that, I told the rest of the flowers about it. I didn't tell them who I saw. I only said I would tell them if we meet up for lunch & I made their hearts really "itchy". They are dying to know who this person was. And all of a sudden, Yanping & Prima said we shall meet up for lunch today. Wahahaha~ This shows how gossippy & kpo the 5 of us are.

Don't know what's with my life lately.. No motivation to go to work.. I strongly feel that I've chosen the wrong job which is totally not for me.. I tried to accept the fact that since I'm here, I should work hard.. Haiz.. Slacking around here, doing nothing and getting free pay.. This is not what I want.. I wanna learn new things, do whatever's related to my course of studies, which is Financial Trading.. I feel like my life's in a mess.. I can only seek solace in playing around, having fun to forget all of these "unhappiness" I'm feeling here.

*Sigh* My life is in a total mess.. I wanna get out of this rut and be the person that I want to be.. Can I? I doubt so.. I guess this is just who I am.. The ultimate failure in life..

It's been sometime since I last updated my blog.. haha.. Guess what, I did something really stupid. I had a bet with my colleague, that si nan ren, on the Chinese Wall Policy quiz. Whoever had the higher score will get a free dinner. I got 9 out of 10 correct & I thought I would win. Who knows, he got perfect score! So, I owe him dinner lor.. =( He said I bu zi liang li (don't know my own limits), go & bet with him.. humph!

So last evening after work, I fulfilled my promise to him. On our way there, we passed by Raffles Hotel & there were a lot of guards & policemen.. I later realised that the Queen is here. We were even scolded by one of the guards. He said, "Can u all walk faster?" Wth.. We wanna walk at our own pace cannot meh.. =/

He ended up treating me dinner instead. I felt so bad coz I'm the one who's supposed to give the treat. Sadly, my gastric acted up again so I couldn't really enjoy the food. I even wasted a lot of food. But I must say that the deep fried calamari tastes good. haha.. =P

Started on my new job at GIC on 1st Mar.. So far so good.. The colleagues there are very nice & friendly.. But somehow, I feel that the job doesnt really suit my extroverted character. Maybe I need some time to adapt ba.. Hope everything goes well.. My only hope now is to be accepted by any uni so I can further my studies..

Guess what.. There's a cutie at GIC!! & the plus point is he's also friendly.. He went over to my desk & said hi to me on my first day.. When I looked at him, I was so overwhelmed by his looks that I started stammering.. OMG!! That was really embarrassing.. Haha but he's really cute.. =P

Yesterday, I went rollerblading at ECP with our fellow SS. Supposedly meeting at 2pm at ECP McDonald's, but when Lindy & I reached, no one was there. We waited until almost 4pm when everyone finally arrived. Best eh. Haha..

While rollerblading, I had a very mild sprain on my hand when I fell. Sob sob.. After rollerblading, we went to the famous Hong Kong Cafe at East Coast Rd. The french toast there is very famous, and nice too! But the service standard super CMI. We ordered drinks, but mine was the last to be served. I was super thirsty but my drink just wouldn't come. I asked the waiters 4 times before they finally served me my drink. Know what? My drink was served when i almost finished my food. Haiz..

Went to meet my sec sch buddies for prata supper at Simpang Bedok!! We went to a playground nearby after our supper. So happy.. We played the swings, the slides, the sand, the monkey bar & everything there. Feels like a small kid once more. Haha.. Rot there until we gan yuan go home, which was about 2.30am. And I'm super shag today........

On Friday morning, Lee Fang & I are supposed to go Phillip and help them with their stuff. We reached there at 9+, the lady told us to go back at 10+. When we went back at 10+, she told us to leave our contact & will call us when there are things for us to do.

So, we went shopping & lunch happily, after which we decided to go home coz there were no phone calls. Just when I was in the MRT ride home, Lindy called me & said Phillip told us to go back. Prima & I went there. It only took us 30mins to get the stuff done.

Now, the point is, whenever Lindy & I have to go Phillip, we are always told to leave our contacts & there is a very high chance that they won't call us. When Prima & Lee Fang's turn to go Phillip, they always have stuff to do until 5pm. Conclusion is, Lindy & I really ming zhong dai sai (direct translation: we bring shit in our life). Or maybe, the failure of the project is the cause of us. We are the jinx to everything. Hahaha..

Dating back to Tuesday, which is 21 Feb, I went to watch "The Fog" with Xiao Pang Zhu.. Horror movies nowadays are really not horror. The only scary parts were the sound effects that made your heart jump, and that's all. Yet the lady seated near us was screaming. Perhaps she was trying to show her vulnerable side to her bf ba.. =p

The ending was worse. It was left hanging there, and was super brief. When the show actually ended, I went, "Huh, finished already?" No wonder the movie critics rated "The Fog" 1 star. But the show was still ok lah. It was quite funny in a sense. Perhaps, the genre should be Comedy instead of Horror. Haha..

Please, can we have better horror movies? Till date, the show which I really deemed horror was "Darkness Falls". I watched it about 3 years ago. This is the kind that I will really want to watch.
